Choisir le bon (Choose the Right)

The primary children of Mwene-Ditu (mwhen-knee dee-too) send their love and best wishes by singing to you. It got me started taking video of LDS (Mormon) children living in different villages singing different songs well known in the LDS church. Some are primary songs and some are hymns, all of which are well known and memorized by the children. Those of you who teach primary may wish to tape your own primary singing a song in their native language and post to you tube. If you email me or comment here, I’ll link to the video, and we’ll get a worldwide song extravaganza going! It doesn’t have to be an LDS group – let’s get the whole world singing religious songs.

Bien Choisir (Choose the Right)

Bien choisir dans le temps que Dieu nous donne

Et savoir obéir à l’Ésprit:

C’est ainsi que la lumière environne

Ceux dont le cœur aura choisi la vie

Bien choisir, bien choisir

C’est là le chemin qui nous est tracé.

Sans faiblir, bien choisir,

Pour hériter de Dieu l’éternité.

In English, the words are different – as in all translated songs:  Choose the right when a choice is placed before you. In the right the Holy Spirit guides; And its light is forever shining o’er you, When in the right your heart confides. Choose the right! choose the right! Let wisdom mark the way before. In its light, choose the right! And God will bless you evermore. (Link to Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing Choose the Right)

That is awesome! I will be sharing with primary and record us singing and upload ours to YouTube, or put on my blog to show your kids. Does mail get there? Could our primary mail yours a package?

We smiled and laughed and thoroughly enjoyed your latest blogSSSS. Amazing. We feel so fortunate to know you and thank you for sharing your experiences. Such energy! May God continue to bless you. Remember that prayers are said in your behalf in prayer circles in all the temples. He watches over you and all the missionaries.

Today our full-time missionaries spoke in Sacrament Meeting: one from Chile and one from El Salvador. They looked so good and spoke so well with their thick Spanish accents. We loved seeing the DRC missionaries. We get to see them again through your blog. Thank you.

Snowed again yesterday. Spring is trying to come. Conference in two weeks.
