There is a beautiful new fountain near where we live. Often our water is off, our lights are off… but the new fountain works like a charm!
On the way back from Likasi (moving furniture) Emanuel stopped to buy a new wood bowl that is used in cooking here in the Congo. It is like a large mortar and pestal: you put kasaba leaves, or peppers, or corn, etc., in the bowl, then use a large stick to grind/pound the food into submission and ready to be cooked.
