Terri and I and all our St Martin missionaries took a plane ride to Guadelupe Island for Zone Conference the past few days.
Sister Robinson and Sister King in the airport waiting to leave Elder Pape (always eating!), Elder Broadbent, and Terri Elder Glover and Elder Mills The plane to take us from St Martin to Guadelupe for Zone Conference A piece of art at a round-a-bout on the way from the airport in Guadelupe Some typical street scenes of Guadelupe–much greener than on St Martin! This is the hotel we stayed at in Guadelupe This strange sculpture of a native with a cat on its head was in the lobby… Sister Turner loved it…I think she wanted to take it home with her! The hotel was right on the ocean and had a beautiful beach and swimming area The Turner’s at breakfast we were there too…sort of.. they had lots of birds around, that flew in and shared breakfast with us! This is the Guadelupe District Center where we held Zone Conference. It is similar to the St Martin branch, only it has two buildings tied together by a hall. When we expand, ours will look similar to this. Sister Mehr begins a presentation to the group. There were 4 Zones/3 countries/islands attending this conference it was a long meeting… Sister King giving a farewell testimony, as she will be leaving for home soon! Elder Glover giving his last testimony to the group All of these missionaries were giving their last testimonies as they will be going home President Mehr works with the missionaries in a training session Sister Mehr attempting to gather the missionaries for a group photo–like herding cats! All the sisters gathered for a group shot. Sister Richmond and Terri are on the left, Sister Mehr and Sister Turner are on the right Terri and I with Elder Glover and Elder Pape With Sister Guernsey President and Sister Mehr with the gift given them by the missionaries, with all the signatures of the missionaries signed on the back Going home, some pictures of Guadelupe from the air Here are some pics of St Martin from the air this is a good view of the airport on the French side of the island
