Our trip to Barbados

This week we went to Barbados for training. I met with Henry Batista who trained me on managing the mission vehicles. We also got instruction from the Turners (the office couple), on how we can help them and the mission.

Point Blanche apartment where some of our missionaries live is right next to the large blue water tank on the hill above the ships (Elders Page, Stewart, and Pohl live there now) DSCN0797 DSCN0799 DSCN0800 DSCN0804 DSCN0806 The hotel we stayed at after arriving in Barbados IMG_4768 IMG_4772 IMG_4773  Sister Turner at the front desk in the Mission OfficeIMG_4774 Brother Turner at his desk IMG_4775 Terri waiting in the main office area IMG_4776 IMG_4777 The wall of incoming and leaving missionaries IMG_4778 Sister Herrington at her desk (the President was hiding in his office most of the time…) IMG_4779  Front door to the mission office. It is located in a tall office building just a block from the ocean in Bridgetown BarbadosIMG_4780 IMG_4781 We walked to lunch, and to our hotel, which was just just down the road. IMG_4782 There were a LOT of closed, deserted hotels along the beach (even though the beach was beautiful!) IMG_4783 There is a great boadwalk that runs a couple of miles along the beach, with many great restaurants. IMG_4784 This is where we ate lunch one day IMG_4785 IMG_4786 IMG_4788 Terri’s small hamburger–it was fun watching her try to eat this! IMG_4789 IMG_4790 IMG_4791 It was a fun and useful trip for us both. In a couple of weeks we travel with all our St Martin missionaries to Martinique for a Zone Conference with the Area President. Woo Hoo!
